Chaya X Duchesse

A hand-knotted exploration of colour gradations from one tone to another, the rugs in Chaya feature airbrushed streams across the surface. The considerable skill of our master dyers allows variations in depth of hue, which our experienced weaving teams then bring to life.
Through the use of multiple fibres in very low piles, the smooth and iridescent colour effects become the focus. Precise transitions in hue are achieved with refined fibres such as silk, mohair, cashmere, and wool, and constructions ranging from 100 knots to 300 knots per square inch.
The colour pairings of these prismatic studies range from the quietly subtle to the surprisingly dramatic, always inspiring the eye.
